Bob & Jimi

Posted on: Monday, Apr 16, 2012

Thanks to Peter FitzSimons for this fascinating bit of trivia! When Jimi Hendrix suffered a drug overdose on September 18, 1970 and was rushed to a London hospital, the junior doctor to see him first (D.O.A) was none other than retiring leader of the Greens, Dr Bob Brown. It was in the 1970’s that the good doctor turned from saving people to saving the environment – this photo of younger Bob, in 1976.
