Feel for you, Lily…

I hope word gets out about how Kevin Rudd treated professional make-up artsist Lily Fontana. Lily was employed to do make-up for both Tony Abbott and Rudd before the second debate at Brisbane Bronco’s Leagues Club. She posted her thoughts on Facebook but has since taken them down when it hit the press. Don’t blame her, but a pity…
Having studied Rudd’s character for the last six years in order to be able to write comedy about him it didn’t take long to realise that he is basically an egomaniacal, Machiavellian, dysfunctional psychopath. And I mean that in the nicest possible way. The opening lines to the song Dave Prior and I wrote about five years ago titled Which Rudd Have We Got Today went – “We’ve got a few Prime Ministers, which one have we got today, is it Kev the nerd or Kev the turd, having a bad hair day?”
That’s why Gillard had to replace him – very few people could work under him. Apparently the old joke is pretty true – Q. Why do people take an instant dislike to Kevin Rudd? A. It saves time. Still, Chris De Havilland and I think there is more corporate comedy potential in portraying the dark side of our Mr Rudd once the real one is ousted.
FYI – Here’s what Lily posted on Facebook – “Just finished doing Kevin Rudd and Tony Abbot’s makeup for the People’s Forum at Broncos Leagues Club. One of them was absolutely lovely, engaged in genuine conversation with me, acknowledge(d) that I had a job to do and was very appreciative. The other did the exact opposite! Oh boy, I have (n)ever had anyone treat me so badly whilst trying to do my job. Political opinions aside . . . from one human being to another . . . Mr Abbott, you win hands down.”
Yep, just like the flight attendant he reduced to tears for bringing him the wrong meal and his foul-mouthed rant caught on camera. This is still the man who can eat his own ear wax in public, visit a strip club when on a junket in New York, leak to the media to undermine his own party while all the time putting forward his smiling, folksy persona. Just trying to work out which Rudd photo will be more accurate around 7:30pm on September 7.
